We have all heard before that giving personal compliments is better than general ones such as “good job” but any compliments can go a long way! This teacher praises his students daily and the affects of that kind of praise on a student are undeniable.
Kids react well to a person who they know cares. If they know that you are interested in them, in what they do after school, in their mom who has cancer or their sister who broke her leg they will care more about what you have to say.
Go out today and find something about each one. I know that can be hard believe me! Some students don’t inspire you to say nice things about them- but do it anyway.
